Hi Fellow Artists! Have you ever stared at a blank page, pencil in hand, wondering how to bring a face to life? You’re not alone! As a beginner artist myself, I’ve been (and still am) there. The facial features are the often referred to as the keys to the soul. They are what give your faviourte characters life, whether that’s your faviourate actor, your faviourate game character, or your faviourate anime character! Drawing the facial features are so important to master. And it takes years to truly master, which is why I hope over the years this blog post will develop along with me.
Hey there, fellow art newbies! Have you ever tried to draw a head or face and it ended up with something that unintentionally looks more like an alien than a human? I definitely have! When I first started learning how to draw the head a few months ago, drawing heads was, and still is a very hard topic. The human head and all its intricate features are almost like the soul of the person or character.
The fundamentals of any drawing-Character Design or not-all make use of lines. This is pretty obvious. Everything is made up of lines when we draw, whether it’s a simple box, or a highly detailed drawing of a dragon, it’s still made up lines despite how complicated it can look.
